Often recognized as one of the best ski towns in the U.S., Telluride is home to the world-class Telluride Ski Resort, also known as “the most beautiful place you’ll ever ski.” The ski resort is unique for its out-the-front-door access from both Telluride and Mountain Village, with two chair lifts and the Gondola within walking distance from anywhere in the town of Telluride, as well as three chair lifts and the Gondola accessible from Mountain Village. The Gondola – the only free public transportation system of its kind in North America – links the towns of Telluride and Mountain Village in a spectacularly scenic 13-minute ride, providing easy access to an array of adventures year-round.

With over 2,000 skiable acres, terrain runs range from steep chutes on Gold Hill, to gentle cruisers off breathtaking Prospect Ridge, to wide beginner runs on Lift 10, to the mogul fields of Lift 9. On average, the region receives 300 inches of snow and 300 days of sunshine annually, which translates to lots of deep, dry, pure Colorado powder.

Often dubbed the festival capital of Colorado, it offers a variety of world-renowned events, such as the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and the Telluride Film Festival.
