Just as the seasons transition, so does the real estate market. Recent months have delivered a welcome return to a more balanced marketplace, delivering benefits to both buyers and sellers. It is very important to be clear that the slowing of the market relates to the frantic rate of home price appreciation we experienced during the pandemic — not to be confused with overall home values.
In fact, J.P. Morgan recently released their 2022 home price analysis of 116 U.S. metropolitan areas relative to the impact of higher mortgage rates and other economic factors. According to the data in the report, the Denver Metro area was specifically identified as a stable market, which is not overvalued, and where home prices are not expected to decrease over the next two years.
